DON'T BE LED ASTRAY

Pastor Terry Jones, right, of the Dove World Outreach Center speaks to the media in Gainesville, Fla., as Imam Muhammad Musri of the Islamic Society of Central Florida looks on

Pastor. Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Centre in America was the mastermind of the Koran burning rally that got world wide press and the American Christians all fired up to show the Muslims in America and around the world what the Christians taught of them and how they should be dealt with; unfortunately for them the whole fiasco fizzle out and died off before it could even begin due to the many opposition that the event had uncounted from Muslims around the world and within. Thank God for that.

Like countless number of Christians today, many do not understand or are too lazy to make an effort to understand the true teachings of the one whom the Christians believe in and the bible speaks of as the Savior of Mankind; the Lord Jesus Christ, instead they choose to hear it from the mouths of so called Christian leaders who are zealous to only lead the people to them self in order to build their own Christian Empire and in so doing lead their followers stray.

The bible in the book of Hosea 4:6 says as follows: -

My people are being destroyed because they don't know me.

Sadly many Christian today are void of bible knowledge and solely depended on the Church or the leaders to interpret the bible to them and in turn this has led to what I term as the "Terry Jones Syndrome" or the blind leading the blind. You know where that would lead them eventually right? The ditch.

Christians today are led to think that standing up for their faith means we have to take a "jihadist" like stand to protect their faith and to show the world that they are better then the rest.

But is this what the bible really teaches Christians to do? Is that what Jesus Christ taught his disciples to do?

Let's see what the bible says....

Luke 6:27-36
"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Titus 3:2
Believers shouldn't curse anyone or be quarrelsome, but they should be gentle and show courtesy to everyone.

Romans 12:18
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Luke 6:29
If someone slaps you on one cheek, offer the other cheek also. If someone demands your coat, offer your shirt also.

After reading the above passages of the bible, it should be very clear to all who profess to be Christians that Pastor Terry Jones is not a true Christian or a Pastor as he does not understand or wills to do what the bible has underlines as the Christian way of living.

The bible also says in Matthew 7:16 as follows: -

You will know them by their fruits.

Why are so many Christians so bent on doing contrary to what the bible teaches as the true Christian way of life as defined in the bible verses above?

In conclusion it is paramount that Christians make all effort to understand for them self what the bible has to say; as it could be a matter of life and death. Jim Jones and David Coresh serve as a horrid reminder as to what could happen when one is led astray.

James 1:22 - Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

God bless you all.
